The Room Makeover
The Brief / Challenges
My clients wanted to remove an outdated over-bed cupboard and turn this into a peaceful, quiet reading room to relax in. The challenge was that it was also their only second bedroom, so they still needed it to work as a guest space when required.
solutions
We introduced a stylish sofa bed that could easily transform the room into a guest bedroom when needed, while functioning as a comfortable reading spot the rest of the time. The design combined practicality with personality, ensuring the dual use of the space didn’t compromise its style.
client's wishes
A calm space to read and reflect, but with the flexibility to host occasional overnight guests.
result
The room became a serene, multi-purpose haven. The pale blue sofa bed adds softness and comfort, while pops of berry red in the cushions bring warmth and vibrancy. William Morris patterns in the cushions, artwork, and lampshades tie the scheme together with timeless charm. The result is a space that feels cosy and personal for everyday use, yet easily adapts when guests come to stay
